1st round of 50mg clomid didnt ovulate ):

Well just found out I didn't ovulate last month with the 50mg of clomid ): I just finished my second round of 100mg clomid so I'm hoping it works , I don't have pcos , I have a 3 yearold son had him when I was 17 no fertility meds (: his real dad isn't around but my fiance has been around a long time (: I need advice anything a success story similar to mine , anything ): thank you Ashleigh ps I'm over weight that's why I have irrgular periods too

Some times women may not respond to clomid, but if that happens you can try femara, I've heard that usually helps women respond better. Also you said you don't have PCOS have you been tested for that to rule it out?

Yea I was tested for it and I don't have it and I hope clomid will work ): I'm going to do it for 6 cycles too see

i did it for 6 cycles and we were really hopeful but it didnt do anything except make me feel like smurf. i ended up taking a break from it. started taking a herbal pill called vitex for 3 months like it said to do and we got pregnant. i stopped clomid in june got pregnant in october. it helped alot. and i lost 10lbs which i think helped also. we were TTC for 3 years and 1 month when i finally got pregnant. good luck. i hope it works for you. if not you could always try vitex.

I take vitex everyday just started taking it 2 weeks ago and you took it everyday for how long ?? Did u test for ovulation as well

it says to take 2 pills a day everyday for 3 months. and then after 3 months only take 1 pill. it wont start working at least til the 3 months is up so dont give up. it really regulated my cycles big time. i was lucky if i got a period once a year. then i started at the beginning of june and i had my first period aug. 10th then had my second period sept 19th. i ovulated on oct 4th and thats when i got pregnant. and i was testing all the time with OPKs but then the month i got pregnant i decided to just rely on my body cause it knows when im ovulating better than a test stick does. so i wiped one day and there was egg white cervical mucus so i checked my cervix and it was high, open and firm so i knew to start having sex. we had sex on the 4th and the 5th and i got a positive pregnancy test on oct 14th. at 10dpo. my blood levels were at an 8 on the 14th. they were at a 48.6 on the 17th and at 399 on the 22nd. so everything is progressing awesomely. and they did an ultrasound on the 13th of nov and the heart was beating super strong. so just keep taking the vitex. i know its hard but try to lose even just 5lbs if possible. cause that will help. and learn the signs your body is giving you and hopefully it will happen soon. it was kinda funny that out of 3 years of trying the only month of not using OPKs is when it happened. good luck!

I did 4 cycles of clomid and only ovulated from 1 of the cycles I was really bummed I had to move onto injections. We actually had to go all the way up to IVF when trying for our daughter we did get pregnnat from 1 IVF but it ended in a misscarrage and then we did an FET cycle and that one failed but I did get pregnant with my next cycle on my own after 5 and a half years of trying. I did do Femera last year and got pregnant off my 1st cycle but I did misscarry and last September I did another one but I didn't ovulate my husband and I decided to wait to do meds for a bit and January of this year we found out we were pregnnat on our own after 3 years 4 months of trying I do have PCOS though and very hard to get to ovulate i'm not overweight with my PCOS though. Maybe if the clomid doesn't work try the Femera but hopefully your next cycle will work for you.

I don't think you're supposed to take vitex and clomid at the same time as it can weaken the effects sort of like BC and certain medications. Maybe that's why it has helped you ovulate?

I have PCOS and I followed the low carb/low fat lifestyle that my endocrinologist recommended, I lost over 60lbs and my body completely regulated itself. Since you're overweight, the weight loss will help regulate you. If you have PCOS you might want to ask your doctor about Metformin or use the herb Fenugreek, it works just like Metformin and I've used it for over a year now.

Anyway while TTC my daughter I tried Vitex, it didn't work for me. I tried 50mg I didn't ovulate, once I was bumped up to 100mg I ovulated and got pregnant. TTC #2 this time around, I ovulate on my own because of the weight loss, I also used vitex, Maca and Fenugreek. I'm currently taking clomid for better egg quality.

You're right, that might be why Clomid didn't help her. I know for sure that you're not suppose to take Clomid and Vitex together.
