Pumpkin Pie

posted 21st Nov
If youre making it, are you planning on making it Thanksgiving Day or tonight? Ive never made it before (the thought of it has always grossed me out) so I dont know if its something thats better fresh or if its the same out of the fridge. If you do refrigerate, do you take it out early enough so its at room temp, warm it up in the oven, or serve it cold?

I'm making all the desserts today. I'm also preparing the Green Bean Casserole and putting it in the fridge. I don't like rushing the day of, so I make as much as I can beforehand.

Why would it be gross?

Make it a day or two in advance and serve cold

It HAS to be served cold.

Because its pumpkin...in a pie   It just seems so wrong. The only thing I like about pumpkins are the seeds. But my SIL is coming into town and their mom makes one every year, so I figured I should try it.

Thanks all, good to know! I was worried about having to make everything tomorrow.

I ended up taking everyones advice, and I just pulled it out of the oven a little while ago   I was kind of worried though, it smelled awful when I was mixing it up, but it finally smelled ok while it was baking, haha.
