Toddler climbing out of crib

posted 21st Nov
My son will be 2 in Janurary. Two nights ago he learned how to climb out of his crib. I have no idea what to do. And I'm scared he's going to start going around the house in the middle of the night and me not know about it. I do have a monitor in his room and can hear when he gets out. Advice please?

Toddler bed and close the door or put a baby gate up at night.

LOCKS! i'd put the chain lock or something on the top of the door if you are afraid for his safely...have it lock from the outside.

I always heard when they start climbing out of the crib its time for a big kid bed. Can you put a baby gate up so he can't get out of his room?

Just get him a Toddler Bed and get a baby gate. Although if he can climb out of his crib, he can climb over the gate.

The baby gate might work...I would get one of the ones with the vertical bars so he can't climb it. Wish I could help more, but my son has slept through the night since he was 7 weeks old and he never wakes up...

Toddler bed, reverse the door knob so he cannot lock himself in. Baby gate.

You know, it is illegal in a lot of states to lock a child in their room overnight.

Yeah =/

They have things you can put on the door that beeps when it's opened. Then you'll know if he's opening it to try and sneak around.

I didnt specify which door..because idk what she doesnt want him getting into..if shes afraid of him getting out of the house..put a lock on top of the door leading outside..or if she doesnt want him in the laundry room,lock that.
But i agree with reversing the doorknob so he wont lock himself in
