We introduced the potty at 18months (complete waste lol) we tried at 2 and did naked potty training- he did well but I could tell he still wasn't quite ready so we put everything away for 2 months and tried again when he was 26 months and it was like a lit switch- literally 3 days and he had it! Took about a week to transition to the big potty and about 3 weeks to transition to outings and public bathrooms, he still wears a pull-up at nit just in case of accidents but he is still dry most mornings. Google names potty training if you are at home with him, it worked great for us!!

2 1/2 and it's going very smooth
ETA I put his potty in the living room since that's where we spend most of our time and our bathroom is upstairs, so thiis is way easier. I did have it in the bathroom for a few months though for him to get used to and he would sit on it every time I went pee.
So anyway then I just started doing naked time where every minute we're home, he is naked waist down. He peed on the floor once and has never done it again. Recently I started putting him in underwear. He has peed in them maybe twice...but has been doing extremely well so his daycare teacher told me it would be ok to start sending him in underwear so we'll start that next week.

Forgot to add that I was pretty anti candy so we did sticker boards (got all my stuff from the dollar store) and when that got "old" to him we started doing $$ for his piggy bank. He loves putting coins in his piggy bank so I got $10 worth of change and whenever he peed he got pennies and when he went poop he got quarters

My son will be 3 in January and he has been potty trained since the end of the summer. I waited until he was ready, as in, he had the verbal capability to express basic things like the urge to pee/poop. I waited until his bowel movements were somewhat predictable and when he himself recognized the urges because before that he would just not notice pissing himself and smurf lol. I just put him undies, and did a combo of asking him if he had to go, and putting him on the toilet every so often. There were tons of accidents, as expected, but they started getting less frequent as time went on. He had the peeing down good but had trouble at times with poop. He would get distracted with playing or watching cartoons he would forget. So it helped to remind me and ask if he needed to go. Also, one day we started doing chonies at nap time too and then night time and he is completely trained now altgough there are once in the blue moon accidents, but even my five year old has them. Also we did not start peeing standing up until he had it down himself going on his own. Sometimes he geta lazy and thinks he can piss with no hands and it gets everywhere though lol

started at 2.. and he took on to pooping in the potty right away but peeing was a different story. even though i put him on the potty on schedule, he just could not hold it or sometimes realize he needed to go ontime. it wasnt til he was just over 2 when he was completely pt'ed. one thing that we did find worked well was a sticker chart. then after so many stickers he could get a hot wheel

Theres really no right way. Some people do he rewards thing, stickers etc some people get the festive character special toddler potties and me, I just got him some undies, nothing fancy as he stained a lot which I threw out lol and we just stuck him on the regular old adult porcelain throne. I had tried the rewards thing but it didnt really work so we just stuck him on the throne every so.often and then splurged on the cute boxers when he was trained

Lol I just started doing stickers yesterday. I hung up a piece of paper next to his potty and got some Cars stickers. He doesn't even need a reward he's excited enough to put stickers on his paper lol

We tried several times before age 3 - and now, even at 3 1/2, we are still battling the potty, lol, though I know he can do it.

My son started showing signs a few weeks ago, so we introduced him to it and is doing wonderfully. We have on average about 6 pees and 4-5 poops a week. He is only 15.5 months
