my child will not eat

getting my 2 yr old to eat is like pulling teeth, he would not eat dinner last night he just screamed and cried. This morning he screamed and cried for 20 mins so i tried making oatmeal for him and he just threw a fit. I'm at a loss of what to do. please help!

I was always told a child will not starve themselves. We are not big food pushers here - I figure they will eat when they are hungry.

Can you make it a non issue. Maybe place healthy snack with in his reach and just let him be.

My daughter is 3 & she's going through that now.

She's just not hungry, when she's hungry...she'll let me know.

She's not starving, so I am really not that worried.

my son will pretty much eat whenever offered food but has become very particular and i started making his food his favorite characters favorite food like batman likes his broccoli thats how he is so strong smart whatever and it makes santa happy to

my daughter is 2 and wont so we give her supper at the coffee table, i'd prefer if she ate with us but better than having her not eat so works for me lol
