Membranes swept

Today at 3:40 I have my last doctors appt of this pregnancy!! Next Thursday at noon I'm being induced. MY question is should I ask today to have my membranes swept instead? The induction is for medically necessary reasons, but I'd rather not anyway. I've been contracting every 4 minutes since last Tuesday and am 1 cm dilated...would It even help?

It could help. Just depends on your body and whether that's what it will take to bring labor on. Wouldn't hurt to have them do it so your body is ready for labor instead of being induced.

You can try it. It didn't help me still had to be induced

Doesnt hurt to ask. If anything it may help your cervix prepare for induction!

In being induced at 39 weeks three days...so I'm onl 38 weeks two days now is that too early?

Well its hard to say because i was either 40 weeks 55 days or 39 weeks exact when they did mine and i lost my plug the next day but wasn't contrating enough so still got induced 3days later still wasn't thinned out and only dialated a half centimeter more. It just depends if your body and baby is ready. I has date issues and i knew she wasn't ready. Good luck
