My 2 year old was born Dec 22. We went straight to a family Christmas party after getting out of the hospital, went to one the next day, and the next day. *shrugs*

I wouldn't take a newborn to a holiday party. I had DD 4 days after christmas

I had DD on 12/20 and we didn't go anywhere so instead everyone came to us

I was due December 31st, but had her January 4th. But friends and family were up at the hospital holding her, so I wouldn't expect it to be any different than on Christmas or new years. If anyone is sick, I asked them to keep their distance.

I'm really hoping I'm not in the hospital for Christmas eve or Christmas lol. I want to be there with my 2 and a half year old too..

I'm due on Christmas, but they are doing the c-section on the 18th. We think baby and I will be able to go to the inlaws and then we are staying there with my mil while the rest of the fam goes to the party. No way in hell will feel like going and I don't' want that many people touching my new baby. lol Dh and DD will go for an hour or 2.

My DD was born last year on Dec 16. I just let my husband and my 2 1/2 yr old do the family gaathering while I stayed home with my newborn.

I'm due the 6th with my first, so if I do go into labor before xmas I'll just be chilling at home. It's cold in Philly in the wintertime. Friends and family can come to me lol. Then again, most of my holidays are spent with friends anyway. I don't see my alot family other than parents and grandmother too often because we all live all over.

Well im due on the 12th of Dec. my mom is setting up a designated room for my DD to sleep in and for me to go do feedings.. But I also have a thing with Germs... Im asking family not to go into the room... Only me and my DH and my mom and dad of course.. But that's it... Bad experience with family gatherings and newborns

I am due on the 21st and if he comes early or on time, I think we're still going to stay home and have people come to us! I am wayy too worried about germs and people wanting to pass my little guy around (first time mommy lol).

i think thats a good idea... thats what im gonna do... coming to us isnt really a option cause of minimal parking for everyone.. but as long as my LO can be secluded I think she will be fine
