30K before taxes. Decent I guess, I got the job right out of college so i have to work my way up and earn bonuses

Yes i have 2 degrees. Applied Advertising and Graphic Design. Went to school 4 years

I'm actually getting out of the military here soon. And going back might not be an option. I'm asking this mostly because if/when I leave DH, I will go live by my parents and they are willing to help me with DD while I go to school. Lol

I did posters, ads, billboards, brochures, logos etc when I was working.

I only made 40k a year (I worked for a company that underpaid....with my experience I could have been making 40-50 an hour at other places).

Yes, I did. My career was 2 years long. They crammed 5 years into 2. I have an Associates Degree.

Graphic design is another path I was considering. It would help a lot with my business.

The pay isnt good starting out, though. I had to work in that company for 8 years to get to the 40k mark and that was extremely low for someone with my experience. I got too comfortable, thats why I never looked for a better paying job.

I like it and I don't. I work in a very high volume unit and my manager is an asshat. So if I worked in a little slower unit with a better manager I'd like it more.
