re: C-Section :(

mine wasnt planned, but it went rather smoothely. at my hospital you hsve the option to be knocked out (however that affects baby), or the epidural and they give you more numbing medicine, after baby is out my ansthiologist shot me up with everything she could, i slept through my stitches, DS was out in 10-15 minutes, but it felt like forever, i wasnt completely numb so i was feeling a good bit of pain.

I don't know where you got "stalking" from, I'm talking about knowing the subject that the OP is posting about, not knowing the OP's life story. Put words in my mouth all you want.

OP, Ive had 2 planned sections. They both went super smooth. You go in at the time they tell you, change and get an IV. Walk (well I walked) to the OR, get a spinal and get strapped in on the table. Right before they make the first cut SO or DH is allowed (or whomever you want in there, only one is allowed) comes in. He is allowed to watch if he can handle it. I had 2 anesthesiologists right above my head, a nurse watching my vitals and two doctors performing my sections. With my first she would NOT come out, they actually had to vacuum extract her, I was open for a good 8min before she finally came. With my son he came out perfectly fine, but I had alot of scaring from my first so it took longer to get to him. I did get air pockets in my muscles, back and neck from being open so long with my daughter and it hurt to move or breath the next day, but just in my upper back and neck. I guess its normal from all the air introduced while I was open. With my son I was fine.

Do you know if you want to be knocked out the whole time, is your dh allowed to still go with you?
