My bestfriend just got fired yesterday from her job & they are obviously looking for new people...& it's FT, & my mother wants me to go ahead & apply for it.

Yeah why not? Its a full-time job. Why is your mother crazy for wanting you to work?

I am guessing she's pushing for you to apply so you can help take care of yourself.

eh she got fired, it's not like you are taking the job away from her. If it was something I wanted I would apply for it.

not your fault she lost it and you filled it. You aren't the reason she was fired. If she truly is your best friend she'll be happy that you have a job, period.

Of course you should apply. Just because your friend did something stupid and got fired doesn't mean that you should automatically miss out on an opportunity.

I can see the potential for a large fight with this.. Just knowing how some girls can be.. Your friend might be pissed and feel betrayed, even though SHE is the one who got herself fired and not you, it's just how some people work and think.

It's just a matter of how much you value your friends feelings if you think she'd be hurt by it.

If you have a kid to take care of..that child comes befoer your friends feelings! She got fired! She must have done something wrong. Go apply get that job!!

i wouldnt.. she got fired for something she did or didnt do. its not like your stealing her job she got fired.

she's been my bestfriend for 11 years & I know for a damm fact, she would be hurt over the fact..that I got the job she just got fired for.

Depends if they treated my best friend badly I wouldn't apply. But, if I desperately needed a job, I'd go for it.
