While I feel for her that she lost her job, if she's your friend, she should realize that you needing a job has nothing to do with your friendship.

but, she is basically my one & ONLY friend....& I can't loose her over a job.

If it's been a while, I would apply. I really do not think a friendship can be that strong if it gets ruined because one person got a job.

Um no. Holidays are easier to find jobs. The companies need the extra help for the high demand of products.
