if you had your IUD taken out

Before the year limit was up. Example 5 years. Was it because you wanted more kids or because of problems with the IUD??? I have paraguard and have been having bad cramps throughout the month and 2 week long periods.

I had the Mirena and I had it taken out because of the horrible side effects.

Both. We wanted another baby, but I also had it removed a couple months before we were fully ready to begin trying because I was so fed up with the Mirena. I had it in for a little over two years.

How long have you had it? When mine was first inserted I had irritation bleeding for a week then AF came.

ETA: I have paragard as well

I had Mirena and wanted it out less than a year later. It was causing so many issues that it wasn't worth it anymore.

i have the paraguard and love it.. its has no hormones so that is your body doing that.. but i had the mirena taken out due to really bad side effects that i am trying to report to the FDA due to my doctor saying that those where not listed so they are not real. eh.

i got the mirena taken out when my eldest son was 3 months old.. i hated it that much.

It was both. I was having trouble with it and because of that decided to have it taken out and try to have more kids.

I was having problems with my paragard, so I got it taken out. I'm allergic to copper ( who would have thought lol) so it was causing all sorts of funky smurf.

But longer, heavier and worse cramps are all KNOWN side effects of paragard.

I plan on keeping mine for the full 10 years. The only smurffy thing is I have horrible periods. But I think that's more because of my endo.

Get it out i had nothing but problem with it and got pregnant on it

What were other symptoms or things happen to you? I've had some other problems but didn't think it was related to the IUD. - mostly gastrointestinal issues.

Periods ranging from 10-16 days, cramping to the point of them being debilitating, large clots, reoccurring infections just a bunch of nasty bull smurf lol.
