I literally want to slap people when they blame Bush for all fo their troubles. The economy was strong, more people had jobs, median household income on the rise, etc.

I've gotten to meet him after he left office. He is an amazingly nice man. I met him at the funeral of a friend (soldier) and there were no cameras, no reporters, and he and Laura sat in the back until the end of the service because they wanted to soldier honored and he didn't want to make a big deal out him being there.

The man really did look tired and worn down. He's gone from being president to an advocate for the men that he sent to war. I didn't like his fiscal policy and the Patriot Act scares the smurf out of me, but saying he isn't a good man is fighting words!

ere is the thing that cracks me up about people blasting Bush. Some of us are old enought to remember 9/11. I was in my 20's. What did 99% of Americans do? They were effing pissed and wanted to go beat some ass!! Anyone remeber how many people joined the military? Majority of Americans were for the war. We were all hurt and pissed! They wanted Bush to bomb the hell out of everywhere! Could you imagine of Gore had beat Bush! Oh holy hell! He would have done an Obama. He just seems so....genuine. How lucky that you got to meet him. It's seriously on my bucket list.

Yep. When I lose my vigor and start becoming apathetic, I play 9/11 recordings/radio shows on YouTube. I listened to the Howard Stern show from 9/11 yesterday and he was even saying that he knew it was the towel heads and we should bomb them all. Make them suffer like they made us suffer.

I was 16, in high school, so I'm old enough to remember what I felt that day. "Go get 'em George!" is what I remember. "I can hear you, the rest world hears you, and the people that knocked down these building will hear all of us soon!"
