dressing up for the holidays
posted 21st Nov
Is it just me, or do I sound crazy that I think its dumbto dress my kids up in frilly dresses just to go to family's house? I mean if we were to go to church, maybe, but does anyone know where I can get some cute, not to dressy holiday clothes for my girls?

But my kids like to dress up lol so they do anyways. I wear my jammies all day on Christmas. But we dont go anywhere, sometimes but not this year. lol

I never do big poofy dresses except for Christmas pictures. Other than that I just buy a cute outfit!
I haven't checked but Old Navy usually has cute holiday clothes.

Gymboree and OshKosh usually have really cute non-dressy holiay clothing. I haven't checked them out this year.... but it's a place to check!

We got all her holiday outfits from gymboree. Thanksgiving she's wearing a purple velvet dress (not frilly at all) with a long sleeved shirt underneath. Christmas eve she is wearing a corderoy dress with tights and Christmas she is wearing a sweater dress with tights.

I dress her up but I'm not into super frilly and she loves it anyway. To each their own, it's not as if it hurts them.

I don't waste the money. I usually buy a nice sweater for DS, or a dress for DD... but I make sure it's something they can wear again and again. I just don't let them wear the clothes before the holiday, so they look new.
