Candy is always what I got in my stocking. For DD (who will be almost 9 months) is getting some sippys, teething toys, maybe some other small bath toys that will fit. You could give candy, and small toys to your 4 year old, and maybe a cute kids tooth brush and toothpaste (i used to get that every year too). For your 1 year old, i wouldn't do candy I'd just stick to little toys, or things they may need (if you do pacis, or need bibs, etc... smaller stuff can go in).

One year old's are hard to stuff stockings for...Maybe some smaller toys or a stuffed animal?

4 year old's are when it starts getting fun. For a boy? Hotwheel cars are fantastic...Bubble bath is a must! A new box of crayons, some stickers, a couple little trucks, a little bit of candy, a coloring book, a whoopie cushion...A book from his favorite author maybe? I know my daughter's getting a Dr. Seuss book in her stocking...silly putty or playdough? The possibilities with stockings really are endless.

My kids will be 5, 3, and 7 months on Christmas and I'm prob. getting them a book, stuffed animal, a slinky for my oldest, sippy cup for my baby, a big piece of candy for the older 2 and some kind of baby snack for the baby, a cheaper movie for the older 2, a little animal figurine for the older ones. Not sure what else.

Thank you for all the ideas everyone! I used to get a lot of candy in mine but i dont want them to have to much candy. Maybe a little bit for the 4 year old but the 1 year old doesnt really need any. But now i can get different stuff instead of a bunch of candy.

For my older kids ages 6,4, and 2 they're getting new toothbrushes, bubbles, play-doh, a coloring book, crayons, a slinky, a boat load of candy (hence the new toothbrush) and a small stuffed animal.

That's probably what i will do. I know one of the main things i need to get the one year old is a tooth brush because i have that little one that goes on your finger and she bites me everytime i brush her teeth.
