re: Is my son the only one on the planet?

My daughter started a sippy cup like that at 4-5 months. At 8 months we started using a hard spout.

See, I find things like this offensive, Sebastian is still on the bottle at 2, he has health problems & is on extended formula, and its so gross that he will not drink it out of a cup. he drinks his juice & water from cups fine. it bothers me if theres clearly kool aid or pop in the bottle & i see an older child using it, but if its milk/formula or something you really dont know the circumstances.

I could be wrong but I don't think OP meant all toddlers on bottles in general, just the ones that drink soda/tea/koolaid/ect. out of them. I seen a at least 4/5 year old at my sons pedi office and he looked at his mom, said "mom I want my bottle." and she poured soda in it for him >_<

Your son has a REASON to be on a bottle and he isn't drinking soda ans such out of them. I'm talking about those toddlers and their parents that you can clearly tell there is no reason for them to be on a bottle still. Its just done out of laziness of not wanting to break them from a bottle. I didn't mean to offend you. It honestly wasn't directed toward situations your son is in.
