Do you put your cart away?

posted 21st Nov
When your leaving a store, you have all of your things in your car, do you just leave the cart there or do you walk it to the cart stall?

I do, always. I worked at a grocery store for a while in highschool and collecting carts is awful.

Cart stall, unless it's just DD and I and it's pouring. THEN I'm an smurf.

I always park by it, makes it easier to just shove it in the right spot.

It drives me nuts to see carts all over the damn parking lot. Laziness. I've been a cart collector. Its a pain in the ass. And i've also been the person that WANT that parking spot but some smurf left their cart in the way

I'm not lazy, I just dont feel it's worth it to leave my kids alone in my car while trekking across the parking lot to find the one loan cart corral.

If there is one reasonably close, I put it away.

Almost always. I try to park by the cart returns so I don't have to leave my kids in the car unattended for too long.

I do 99.99% of the time.
The only time I don't is if I have the kids with me and it's pouring, and I'm far away from the stall. Which isn't very often. lol

Any other time, yes.

I try to, but I tend to end up shopping in all the rush periods

When I was single, my friend and I would get all drunk and go at midnight when noone else was around
I miss those days

Every time and any extra I find along the way. I've never worked for a grocery store but I feel so bad when it's super cold and snowing and the workers have to walk all over collecting carts. Plus, I've had a cart blow into my car because someone didn't put it away..that pissed me off because it left a good dent.

I usually always make a point to park near one so that I have a buggy when we get out and it's close to return it when we're done. But I'm not leaving him in the parked car by himself nor am I dragging him across a dark parking lot either. I don't park it in a random spot like an smurf. I always try to be sensible about the randomness, lol.

DS is autistic so I don't really like to leave him alone, plus most of the time if we're leaving the store he's so on edge I just have to get the hell out of there. If it's close I'll run it over. If he's in a good mood or I have someone else with me I always do it.
