I like Linus Archer. I am not usually a fan of Archer but it works with Linus. Linus is a bit of an old-man name (which is cool since you like that) and then Archer is more modern/on trend (without being weird) so it balances out. Also Linus does make me think thoughtful/nerdy and Archer makes me think physical/macho so they balance well that way as well

Archer is just as much an old man name as Linus. Not really modern or on trend. I don't see Archer as being macho. I see it as being more of a professor in a tweed coat

I LOVE Linus! I think it's quirky and a little geek chic, but totally usable and something that will age nicely.
