to each person there own however my decition was made after consulting a doctor and i kept an open mind i did not make the decition just because i felt like its what i would prefure, we made the descition based on the times and the health benafits, some doctors more often than not will tell you there is no benafit becasue insurance does not cover it, however i did fing out from the doctor that it has its benafits, it has been shown that a circumcisied man has the ability to grow an extra inch or so during puberty and such and that an uncircumcisioned male is limited in length by the forskin, also circumcised men have 78% less infections and inssues than a uncircumsied male, and the sensativity thery has alredy been put to rest how sensative it is is not due to having or not having a for skin. My husband is not cercumsized for the simple fact that his parants did not have the money for it at the time, and when we had our little boy we paid for it and his dads thoughts are that he sometimes does wish he was circumsized just becouse of the neatnes and cleaness of it

Now see no one I know has a problem with breast tissue so why would I remove it?

If I've known people who have had problems not being circumsized I'm more likely to have it done to my children.

In fact I didn't get a say in my first son's circumcision. His dad was not and said our son would not get the option. And I quote here, he did not want him to have the same problem and pain as he did.

ETA: I guess I don't see the big diff....I mean it's not for everyone and some people have GENUINE issues with NOT having it done. I've seen so many problems with people who have not had it done so I chose the other way. I get how some people see it as cosmetic and it doesn't need to be done but in some cases it DOES, and in my case there was no benefit to leaving it alone. All I saw was pain and suffering for the child. So I did it.

It's not a big deal and everyone gets so huffy but you guys don't see that it's not all good to not have it done either.

So...you'd remove healthy tissue from your child's penis because you happen to know one man who fell into the 2% of uncut men who develop complications....but you won't be proactive in removing your daughter's breast tissue even though 12% of women JUST IN THE US develop breast cancer.

Logical.

I use to think it was a normal thing, because I am from the US and most people do it. Then when I was pregnant I started thinking more and more about it. Then I also watched this same video.
I changed and started thinking this is not for me but if others want to do it fine. That only lasted a few weeks
Because by the time my baby was born and learned what it was like to be a parent and I saw how this baby depended on me %100 to make all the best decisions for him. I quickly started to feel disgusted by the whole thing. I now feel like this is child abuse and a gross display of ignorants in America.
I try and encourage people to really think about it before then make the decision to have it done to their sons. I try very hard to get info to people in a non threatening way hoping that they will see that we need to move far away from doing this in America. I want to help Mom's learn that just because their baby's father was hurt as a baby dose not mean his Sone should also be hurt.

This is my poll and I checked that Daddy is cut and Son is uncut... we did research and learned that NO it dose not prevent STDS and NO the baby will not care if his Dad look diffident and NO other boys will not care and make fun of him.

i completely agree the other thing is they do it when they are babies and only a couple days old a baby boy has very little to no feeling in the forskin area and it is healed in under 10 days, my son and my brothers and even my dad did not cry and cant even remember it, i would love to here a person say that "i was 4 days old and i remember my forskin being cut off it was terrible". the fact is they dont and they probably didnt feel it, we were in the room for our sons and he just layed there looking around like "will this take long and then it was over in less than 5 minutes" many people say its crule and they are the ones that are not circumsized, but if you think about it if the same uncicumsized person was circumsized they would say the oposite of what they say know. and as for healthy if my son will have 78% less issues and infections than a uncut one yes ill cut it and as an uncut male my husband says the same thing.

its funny because yes you wipe the penis and clean it when cut but you still half to whipe and clean it uncut as well you just dont clean a head, but at the same time how much gunck is getting up under that forskin that your not cleaning when you change them? also i have worked in a Dr.s office wile going to school and i can tell you i had seen and made more appointments for male babbies needing to be seen because they got an infection inside the for skin and had to have it cleaned out and that i tell you is painfull because never have i hurd a baby scream and cry that much, and how many apoinments after a circumcision did i half to make because of an infection? maybe 5 our of 100 just some food for thought. and breast tissue is removed when cancers are present, and it takes a hell of a lot longer to heal for a breast procedure then the 5 to 10 days of a circumcision.

I didn't say one person did I?

I worked as a CNA for over 10 years. It was well more than 1 person.

It's not logical. You don't seem to understand that it's not for EVERYONE.

And as I said, I didn't get a choice in my first son's, his dad chose it, because of his beliefs.

You're just another person who thinks they know it all when it comes to this subject and don't seem to see the other part of it. You just know that what you think it right, and that anyone else who has a problem with it is beneath you.

You're not seeing it from both sides.

And unfortunately, your inability to keep an open mind just shows how stupid you really are.

It's not for everyone. I made my choice based on a lot of people I saw that didn't have it done and had problems. From my husband to much older men.

I was NOT going to put my son through that.

this is a forum that is asking our oppinion you dont half to like it but respect is not to much to ask for. weather a person does or does not decide to circumsize it is not your place to judge..
P.S. mutilation of a person is illegal and circumcision is not.

Most issues that intact males have is due to forced retraction while it is still fused. This creates tears in the skin, which causes infections. Some people are going to have health problems regardless of preventative measures taken or not taken. I do know in countries where circumcision is quite uncommon (such as the UK, etc.), the STD rate is lower.

To the person who said that infants do not have much sensation in the penis/foreskin, do you have any scientific proof for that, like a study or something that you could link me to? (Not being rude, genuinely interested )
