Medicaid paid for my son's in September of '11. It might be different in other states though, I don't know.

I don't have a son. But in the event that I do, he will NOT be circ'd. It doesn't matter if the father is or is not.

I had to put my foot down. I would not and will not ever have my boys cut, barring a genuine medical need that can't be fixed any other way.

So I have 2.

My first husband was not, and that's why he made the decision to have it done to my first son.

My 2nd one, I just knew the problems my first husband had with it not being done and how much easier it was for my 2nd husband, so I circumsized my 2nd son.

DH is, our son is not simply because insurance doesn't cover it and we couldn't afford it at the time. Now though if we have another son we wont be because we now know there is no real reason to and DH wouldn't want our 1st son to be self conscious being "different" down there than his dad and brother.

Dad is not and Son is not!! In the UK it's less than 3% of population have it done and it is done strictly for medical reasons here.
