Posterior cervix at 39w?

This is my first baby and my cervix is still posterior. My doctor has a hard time checking it to see if I'm dilated and it hurts like hell!! Has anyone else had this problem and can it change at anytime? And my baby is measuring 8lbs 3oz as of today according to ultrasound..not sure if that has anything to do with it or not lol.
