labor brought on by moon phases

I've heard that the changing moon phase can trigger labor (ie: lots of women go into labor on the full moon). My whole life I have gotten my period on or with in a day of the new moon. Do you think it's realistic to think that I will go into labor on the new moon as well.... December new moon is Dec 13... my due date is Dec 17.

I believe so but a lot of people would laugh at me for it.

Honestly, no. Not saying it won't but I thought since everyone in my family has early babies (like a week or 2) and the full moon was a week before my due date I was going to have my first a week early. Well, I sat around and pouted for almost 2 weeks before I was induced.

That's because your period is every 28 days and so is the full moon...

There's all kinds of myths surrounding the full moon but they are false. The only thing the moon affects are the tides.

I don't know about new moons BUT I work in healthcare and do find that a couple nights/days before and after a full moon tend to make patients a big crazier then usual   but I also don't believe in anything bringing on labour, when people say they tried so and so and they went into labour in hours or days, I just think that is when they body would have done it regardless... nature will do what is has to do, new moon or no moon
