Lazy eye and learning

My daughter was diagnosed with lazy eye in both eyes. She has to wear a patch 2 hrs a day for 6 weeks and needs surgery. She got her report card today and shes having alot of problems especially in math and writing. They graded her as NM, which is not meet requirements. Im worried they will hold her back a year. Could the problem with her learning be due to her lazy eye? Shes always rubbing her eye and complaining about headaches

does she wear glasses? i know when my son wears his glasses it helps his lazy eye a lot

No, the opthamologist says glasses wont help her. She needs surgery to straighten her eyes out
