I took a bag of toiletries since ull most likely be there at minimum 48 hours. I took some diapers, wipes, bottles, and a pacifier although the hospital i went to supplied all those while i was there.

This might sound superficial, but I packed my hair dryer lol. I wanted to be able to take a shower and put makeup on and look at least half way decent for the pictures I knew were going to be taken. So I packed my hair dryer, my makeup and travel sized shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant and face wash. I also packed comfy pajama pants and a shirt that was too big because I knew I wouldn't want to wear a gown the entire time I was there but I needed comfy clothes and a shirt big enough to fit baby under because I was BFing. Camera, chapstick, batteries. I packed pretty much everything I use on a daily basis. Much of the stuff I bought travel versions of so I wouldn't have to worry about not having it packed yet because I was using it.

shampoo and conditioner in case hospital doesn't provide any (with my first they only had shampoo, second had both. Both hospitals had soap)

CHAPSTICK!!!!!!

Your own pillow (or other comfort type item)

Clothes to wear home for you and baby

Socks and slippers.

Phone and charger.

That is really all I needed in the hospital.

MASSIVE PADS
im talking HUGE
i wore 'overnight pads' which i thought were big and woke up and it had leaked and i had blood all over my pyjama pants
and then i started peeing myself every day
i went and got these HUGE pads and they were uncomfortable but so awesome, even when i accidentally peed myself they were great.
also a belly band to support your stomach or youll feel like your guts are gonna fall out, it helps so much.

I thought i was pretty well packed until i read your comment. big ol' pads still need to be purchased and i still need to pack a belly band!

My hospital provided pads, diapers, baby powder, pretty much any hygienic necessities so I was lucky there. I forgot to mention pack lots of underwear you don't care to ruin because you very well may ruin several pairs.

I had to be induced too so since I went over my due date I sat around packing anything and everything lol. My labor was 25 hours but luckily they must have taken the cath out while I was passed out (because I TOTALLY passed out right after I had him lol) because when I woke up I had the feeling mostly back in my legs from my epidural and I had to pee like a mothersmu*rfer lol.

i think the epidural did some weird smurf to me, i couldnt feel the need to pee for weeks after labour.
which is why i kept peeing myself.

I hated my epidural. It was great DURING delivery, but they kept bugging me asking if I wanted so after 12 hours of labor or so they broke my water and I opted to have it then and it was another 13 hours after that before I had him and not being able to feel my legs or stomach for that long gave me a massive panic attack and the nurses thought I was being stupid. They threw a fit when I asked them to turn the pump off for a while, like it was a huge smurfing deal to push a couple buttons   My back is still sore there, though. I'm refusing to be induced this time unless I get past week 42. I want to labor at home and not have to go 8 hours without eating or drinking before I even go to the hospital. I want to be able to sleep in my own bed or watch tv to pass the time. Being stuck in a hospital with nothing to do in an uncomfortable bed for 25 hours where I couldn't eat or drink anything or sleep because my contractions were 2 minutes apart the entire 25 hours was not my idea of an ideal labor and I want to avoid it at all cost this time.
