my oldest is underweight, and might be anemic (waiting on bloodwork). she said he looked pale and asked if he gets flu shots. I said no, she looked at me like I was crazy, and told me he should have one because his immune system seems to be weaker, but to get the shot, not the live virus.

Omg, you had me scared! haha. And flu shot can be given as young as 6 months, depending on the dose. at 6 months (until 3 years) it's .25ml, and has to be Preservative Free. And the first dose of flu for anyone under the age of 9 has to receive 2 doses 1 month apart. but that's only if their first time ever receiving the vaccine.

yea I waited till 1 for the flue shot she had to do one and then go back for the other. I did it for both my girls that way. I wasn't really sure about the flue shot in general and I wanted them to have a good immune system. I'm getting my flue shot at my next doc visit plus I have to get the hep b 2 to 3 months before I deliever the baby.. I don't know if they will give the baby another hep b in the hospital..2 years ago they were just doing it after delivery so I don't how that will work. Doc said its suppose to help prevent sids this way. and the vaccine for the flue will last at least 6months for the baby which will be spring and summer.
