BF and post partum bleeding

How long did you bleed? Or continue to spot off and on?? I've had to wear a dern pad everyday since Asher was born. One day nothing will come out, then the next brown blood or bright red will come out! lol I'm only using pads to use up the rest of what I bought, then it's tampons. He will be 2 months old on the 30th.

I know noone can tell me when I'll stop...just wondering about everyone else.   And if you're breastfeeding how does that affect it?

I bled for 4 weeks, stopped for two weeks, started again at 7 weeks and was done completely by 8 weeks. I haven't bled since then, and I'm now 7 months pp.

ETA: and i've been breastfeeding the whole time.

i bf, and bled for 14 weeks staite, finally went back to dr, and found out i needed meds, estrogen i think, and possibley a d&c. my drs rule, if you bleed longer than 6 weeks, look at why. i will be calling the day im 6 weeks pp this time, i was so amemic it was scary.

I don't think you're supposed to use talons until after your PP check. I bled for 3 weeks with DS1, 4 weeks with DD, and have a any amount of spotting left, DS is just a little over 3 weeks old. PP bleeding can disappear and then start up again and can last 6 weeks some times it just depends on the person.

Like I said he'll be 2 months on the 30th..pp check up was 3 weeks ago.

Well it's not like a full on bleed...it's just some will come out throughout the day..if I was wearing a tampon, I wouldn't fill it up in a day.

With my 1st I bled for about 2 1/2 months. With my 2nd I only bled for about 4 weeks or so.

i would still mention to dr. he can do an u/s and look at your uterine lining to make sure everything looks normal, and you expelled all the placenta, and everything is okay.

w me, my uterine linning was very very thin, like i was still in labor, my body didnt regonize i had delivered. could just b that ur bleeding longer tho, could be nothing. no way to tell w o an u/s, but if it keeps up much longer, id def mention it.
