heart rate question at 14 weeks

posted 20th Nov
I have as doppler.
The kind the doctors use, not like the walmart ones.
I've been picking up fetal tones since 8 weeks.
Well tonight I tried finding him or her, and I found him but I couldn't get a for sure reading because I kept losing the heart beat.
The thing was saying 130a
But normally the baby is 150-160s.
And I normally count beats and multiply by 4 after 15 seconds.
Do you think he was just moving around too much? Our should I be worried?
Tia ladies!

I would try again. But baby could be sleeping so it would be a resting hr.

According to the old wives tales if the heart rate is under 140 that means a boy. So i would think you should be fine.

My doctor always had a hard time keeping my first son's heart beat that early on because he just moved a lot. 130 is still a normal heart rate, though. My first son's was usually between 130 and 160 and this little boy stays around 140 or 150. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

My doctor told me heart rates are suppose to jump around between 130 to 160, I wouldn't be too worried about it.

i thought i was having a girl because my first couple ultrasounds was 166 but turns out its a boy so this is just like you said a wives tale

I was told not to use one myself by my doctor because he sees a lot of pregnant women that use them for an "emergency"appointment because they stress themselves out in.situations where a doctor would know it was nothing to be worried about. So I would assume this is one of those situations
