Pinapple upside down cake.

For Thanksgiving!!! I'm in charge of deserts this year and thinking pumpken pie ,pecan pie and pineapple upside down cake.! I've never made one before but I've been craving it! Any body have a good recipe?

Ive never made it from homemade but what I do is buy the boxed pineapple upside down cake mix and then just do the topping. What I do is melt down butter pour it in the cake pan and then pour brown sugar on top of it and pack it down. Then spread the pineaplle *and cherries if you like* on top of that then pour the cake mix on top of it and bake till done. Ohh and as soon as if comes out of the oven flip it out of the pan onto the plate or whatever you want it to sit on. If you dont it will start to stick to the pan.

I buy a box of yellow cake and add crushed pineapple instead of the water part. Then melt butter and brown sugar together and pour it into the bottom of a large pan. Lay chunks or rings of pineapple and then pour the cake batter and bake as directed. When done, you need to flip it out onto something or it will stick to the bottom when it cools.

Thank you ladies! I'll have to run to the store today and pick up the mix maybe 2-3 so I can do a practice run, also do you butter or geese the pans or would that be counter intuitive considering you mix butter and brown sugar in the bottom?

No I wouldnt put anything down, just do the butter and brown sugar!
