Dog help
posted 20th Nov
Today i went to pet my dog and her body was limp. She wouldn't get up. She wouldn't respond and she wimpered.. Her heart rate was very slow and she was breathing slowly. Anyone know what could have happened? She is 16. We went to the vet and she give antibiotics. I think it's something else. She isn't acting right

What did the vet say it was? They don't prescribe antibiotics without finding a cause.

poor doggy.

She said she doesn't know what's wrong and wanted to try antibiotics

Not to sound mean, but my guess is the dog is old (you said she is 16) and coming to the end of her life.

sounds like what happened when my dog went into a diabetic coma, its a kind of catatonic state that happens when they are really old. i am sorry hun. it may be time to put her to sleep. best wishes. dont let her suffer.

Sounds like what happened to my family's 17 year old yorkie. Last couple days of his life we just made him comfortable, vet said nothing was wrong with him just his age. He died two days later.
