The only thing i agree with is getting rid of the bush tax cuts for the rich. We tried it, it failed. Lowering them as low as bush has, has not created economic growth. I would rather us go back to the clinton tax code because it actually worked, everyone paid their fair share and we had a surplus. I dont know why you feel that because I said i dont like the bush tax cut that i want to punish rich people. Everyone needs to contribute.

Federal government ended up getting MORE money when Bush cut taxes:

One of the Bush tax cuts was a reduction in capital gains taxes, that's why I'm talking about it. That's one of the taxes that will go up if the Bush tax cuts expire. If history is any indicator, this will result in LESS revenue to the federal government.

I don't think you even understand what you're arguing.

Did you know that retirement pensions are considered capital gains? They are recommending not retiring for four years if you can help it now.

Oh, and before anyone says I'm a Republican, I'm not. I'm a through and through libertarian and I want fiscal responsibility. I want them top cut most of your entitlement benefits. I also want a 0% income tax. Fair tax is the only thing I would ever support, maybe flat tax, but only as a last resort.

Did you forget the fact that Obama has added $10 trillion to our debt in three years? Your graphs are outdated.

Also, what do you think about the time that we had a surplus, had just finished a war, and had ZERO income tax?

Everyone needs to contribute? What do you think is a rich persons fair share?
If Person X and Person Y are doing the same job and getting the same pay but one has a spouse that is having an awesome year and is making $250k, why should the spouse of the higher earner be penalized?

also, is it a tax cut if I've been paying that rate for many, many years and the rate goes up?

also, i need to point out that the Bush rates DID create lots and lots of jobs. The economy during Bush was good for a very long time with very low unemployment rate. Jobs arent being created now as there is tremendous uncertainty and employers dont know what their costs will be.

If Bob pays federal taxes of x% up unil Monday and on Tuesday Bob pays federal taxes of x+4%, did Bob get a tax cut, a tax increase or no change?

So employers can't hire based off what they project will happen onces OBAMACARE, but no one else can make projections. RIIIIGGGHHHTTTT!
