Okay soo it's a BOY!!!! yayy  

But SO don't like any of the name iv picked out and iv givin him list on top of lists! Finally he came up with a name we can somewhat agree on but now i don't know if i really like it......

Caine William Evans! Or
(my order pick)   William Caine Evans

but we would call him Caine either way.. that's why SO just wants to make it the first name.. do you ladies like it?

&& yes i know Cain may be the correct spelling but SO got the name from someone he went to school with and that's how they spelled it.. we don't want the exact same spelling....

Not a big fan of Caine, but I think that William Caine flows better.

I had a friend whose name was spelled Kane. I love the name, just not the spelling of "Caine." I think Caine William flows better, though.

I don't like Caine spelled like that.

I hate the name Caine.

I love William though.

I don't hate it but it's not a name I would choose.

but I'm sure there are many people would wouldn't have chosen the names I did for my kids.

If you like it, go with it! It's not a horrible name by any means.

ETA: I think it is completely strange, wrong and ridiculous to call your child by something that is NOT it's first name.

My children have funny NN's because their names do not shorten, But I'd never call them Sage and Douglas.

I like them both but I'm not a fan of the 'middle-first' name.

Cain isn't BAD, but I do prefer William up front.

I call my older two kids by their middle names. SO and his brother both go by their middle names. My oldest goes by her middle name because she shares a first name with two of my aunts, and it would have gotten confusing. My son uses his middle name because he was named for the son of one of SO's really good friends, and we didn't want THEM getting confused. My youngest goes by her first name, though.
