I like the song as well.

I was very offended.. those lyrics are definitely not something uplifting or strengthening.

It was. I do feel like an idiot now though. I didn't think some would take this song so wrong or look at it a different way that I did

It's okay. It's not something someone can really understand until they are in that place and have lived with the consequences of the path they chose.
