Small Thanksgiving
posted 20th Nov
If you are (or have in the past) doing a small thanksgiving, what's your menu like? It's just two adults and two kids.

Green beans

In the past, it's been the typical menu- turkey, fixings, apple pie, a couple of Trifle desserts, etc

If that was ever the case, we would just go out to eat.

Pretty much this, but with green bean casserole and sweet potato casserole and yeast rolls.
Last year we had a ham too.

We're totally weird and don't like sweet potatoes or any of the casserole type dishes.

We are doing a fairly large bird, even though there is only a couple of us because SO's favorite part of Thanksgiving is the leftovers lol. Last year we did two medium birds, we might do that again, too.
We are also doing - rolls, mashed potatoes, stuffing, succotash, gravy and then whatever dessert strikes my fancy, probably pumpkin pie and sopapillas.

Thanks everyone. I feel so silly making tons of dishes when its just us. Then there the whole challenge that is our oven.

Nothing wrong with that lol. I just make smaller dishes, but a lot of them. I know when I get started I'll make a lot more than I intended, I do every year.
