posted 20th Nov
Turned 38 weeks today and still no progress :/ i know she still has 2 weeks to bake but there's women on here at around 34/35 weeks being dilated 2/3/4cm and Im sat here with mine not even dropped any and no dilation

Been having a lot of braxton hicks and painful cramping not to mention the lack of sleep :/ just wish that the pains had been for something :/

Sigh

Don't be jealous of those other women. You're not even considered full-term until you're 36 weeks and pediatricians say healthy babies are born at 39 weeks + so relaxxx   Every pregnancy is different, he/she will come when they're ready!

I know how you feel momma. I made absolutely no progress with my now two year old by 39 weeks.
My OB said he intended to induce at the 39 week mark due to pre-E, so I was scared because I knew no progress made the likelyhood my induction would fail higher.
As it turned out I required a c-section before I was induced.
but some women dilate in a matter of hours, so don't be too worried just yet. Hang in there momma. Almost there.

I never got checked, I didn't see the need for it. (didn't want to get dissapointed)
But I didn't make it past 38 weeks with my LO. (:

I know how scary the idea of induction can be.
You can do nipple stimulation, sex, and some other things to try and naturally get things going.
Due keep me posted.

Yeah tried nipple stimulation, sex and walking... all just give me mild cramping that is constant and lasts for a few hours but that's it really.
got my midwife appointment tomorrow so will ask her if i have dilated or not

Since nipple stimulation and sex have stimulated miner
results, this might work well for you.
Didn't work for me because my body refused to dialate or contract.
but it has worked wonders for many.
