Another post about my ex... :(

He got hold of my parents old phone number and called it... It's still my parents' number and since I'm staying with them, I answered the phone.

Smurf. Smurf. Smurf. Smurf.

The sound of his voice made my blood stop. I quickly handed the phone to SO and after he said "hello" he smiled and hung up. No point get in to a bitch-fit with the bastard.

I had made an appointment for next week with a lawyer, but just called to move my appointment up to tomorrow afternoon.

I'm kind of glad I'm on bed-rest. I won't be leaving the house for any reason at all now, so he won't find me!

(If you don't know my story with my ex, he was abusive, has threatened to kill me and with the help of his mother, tried to kidnap my daughter. He has attacked my SO in the street too. I'm terrified of him, have been hiding from him for about a year now.)

Can you get a restraining order against him?

I'd have your parents change their number and then go unlisted.

That's what I'm hoping for. The lawyer is going to go over my options. Last year I tried but since I didn't have his address there was nothing I could do. But, then he made a missing persons report against me and my daughter, and I presented myself and explained my situation.

They gave me his address!    

Oh my goodness! Can you get a restraining order or something? That's what I'd do....I'd also have your parents change their number...you don't want him harassing them, either.

Can you guys afford to move out of wherever you are, to another city or town or something?

I would call the police as well to document things.

Do you have any sort of protection ....like a gun...in case you need it?

Okay, I cannot call the police because they would make a report with my current address (ex-jackass does not have my address, my parents moved around a lot and kept this number) and his sister and two cousins work with the police. I need my lawyer to make the report for me using her address or a fake one and explaining the situation better.

I cannot move out because the reason I'm living here is to help my parents out.

And they won't change their number nor should they have to for my sake.

He knows where we go to church, my father and I both work at the church... he never showed up there, not once. He may this Sunday but I'm on bedrest so I won't be there anyways.

I don't know why but I'm not afraid of him or that he is going to do anything to me because there is a report on him that I made last week (when he filed the missing persons report, I told them EVERYTHING he did to me and my family, including the rapes and beatings).

Wait you are there to help them out, and they wont do you the simple curtiousy of changing their phone number to protect you? da smurf....?

No... and I couldn't use one if I did. I can hunt and shoot just fine, but I know myself and wouldn't be able to pull the trigger against another human being.

You'd be suprised what you can do when you and your child is threatened. Plus having one is usually enough to scare the life out of most attackers.

Our address isn't listed with the phone number, so changing their number would only keep him from calling us. It wouldn't change anything. Also, the more he calls, the worse off he is, because then their will be phone records of him harassing us.

And, yeah, my parents can be selfish.
