chicken still good?

so sunday night SO pulled out chicken, we were out and about adn decided to eat out.

the chicken had been in the sink in cold water in a bowl, BUT it was sitting for a couple hours. then i wrapped eh bowl in saran wrap and stuck in the fridge..
do you think its okay to cook tonight.. its still IN the water, i dumped some out, but i didnt want the chicken to dry out in the fridge;.

Definitely, I would cook it up today though

yeah it should be fine.

Smell it... if it stinks it's no good. And if it's sticky it's no good.

Believe me, you will be able to smell the difference from chicken that's safe to eat and bad chicken. Ew!

It should be safe to eat but id see about marinating it in some kind of seasoning mix in case leaving it in water so long may have affected its taste.
