I have nothing to hide either. As far as the phone goes, my DH is welcome to use mine whenever he pleases and i can use his whenever as well. I think what makes it different is when your SO is taking your phone SPECIFICALLY to try and catch you doing something wrong. If there is no trust, then there is no reason to continue a relationship.

Sometimes it's not that they don't really trust the person. I do it sometimes but it's because I am insecure sometimes. It's been a while since I've felt like that but I'm sure it will come up again. It's my own issues and really has nothing to do with him--it would be like that with anyone. It's my own smurfed up head. But DH knows about this and understands.

I always find it interesting when a man behaves so insecurely. For instance they will get pissed if you have a guy friend because of course any woman who has a male friend is screwing them. Then somehow it is ok for the guy to have conversations over Facebook with girls, get gifts from female coworkers, etc and the women dare not get mad.

To me relationships shouldn't come with double standards. If you can't trust your partner then you have no business being together. And if insecurities are causing all the issues, then it is time to speak to a professional to help work past it. Not snoop through someones things, not demand to know their every move and who they speak with, not pulling phone records and going through their phone while they're sleeping. Common sense says that if you have yet to find any kind of proof, not even a small little bit then it is time to step back and think who is wrong in the situation.

Eh it doesn't cause problems in our relationship. But I'm sure it does in other's.

I would take one... Seeing as I have nothing to hide I think it would only strengthen our relationship to have everything out in the open=]

I mean, I know my SO would never ask because that's really weird. But I don't care, I don't have anything to hide. If he wanted to go through my stuff I'd let him too. What's his is mine and what's mine is his.

Uh smurf no. If he ever seriously asked me to take a polygraph that would be the end of it. I can't be with someone who doesn't trust me. And going through my phone records? That's a whole new level of stalker. I don't think the relationship could recover after that much of a privacy violation. Even if nothing was going on.
