what is this??

posted 20th Nov
So lastnyt me and my partner had sex for the first time in ages!! It was all going great until i started getting really sharp pains down at the bottom of my stomach it went away after a minute but it kinda scared me does anyone know what this is??
Would it be anything to do with my placenta being at the front and my baby being breech??

Stretching muscles, uterus, round ligament pains. I don't think it has anything to do with the placement of your placenta or your baby being breech. Most babies aren't in the head down position at that stage anyway, so it's not really considered breech yet.

Hopefully that is the dumbest thing your doctor will ever say.

That is not true at all. You will be 27 weeks with plenty of time for the baby to turn

Agreed! I'd be scared to have that person as a doctor. Even at 27 weeks the baby can flip to head down to breech a dozen times a day.

This. DD didn't turn head down and stay there until after 36 weeks. They did and ultra sound to confirm at 38.

My baby turned at week 30. It took him the whole week lol but he did it. From everything ive read he turned right on schedule. Of course now im not sure if head in the ribs or feet kicking the ribs is better...lol My boys drkpping now too that started 34wks but for some doesn't happen till right before birth. If uve been thinking about changing docs go with ur gut and do it now, i changed mine at 28 or 29 weeks and im so much happier now. Good luck hun!

My friend just had a baby 3 weeks ago. He was breech on a Friday, head down Monday (when she had him) and flipped 3 other times during labor until she had him lol.

You have plenty of time for that baby to flip

Sex can cause contractions too. Could it have been that? When I have sex I have them for a good 20 minutes or so, and some are uncomfortable.

My baby turned from breech at 36 weeks, so they can still turn.
