obsessed with car?

posted 20th Nov
My SO works Monday thru Saturday from 5 am until 2 pm, sometimes later.
Right when he gets homehe says his hello's to Evelynn kisses her and plays, then he immediately goes and works on his car until he goes to bed.
Most the time he doesn't even NEED the smurf. He is OBSESSED with his car, seriously. I just want to spend time with him, he goes to sleep at 9-10 pm everyday. Even Saturday nights because he is "so exhausted".
I just feel like I'm competing with his smurfing car! He left for 5 hours today so some guy to tune his turbo and smurf. Who the smurf needs a turbo? COME ON.
He wastes his money on it, it's like a damn hobby, always changing something.
I just wish he'd sell the damn thing, its a BITCH getting evelynn in it, and i don't feel it's safe.
Sorry, just needed to vent. ugh.

and, i don't know if you can see it, but that IS penguin tape. -.-

Working on cars is fun. It's easy to lose track of time...

I'd just go out there and remind him how long he's been out there...

Not a big fan of his car though....it's the hot rods I'd be more understanding too....

Yeah, me too with how much money he puts into it. LOL.
It's VERY fast though, engine swap, only 10k miles, good gas yada yada.
But, UGH.

My XH was the same with his car. It annoyed me only because how much money and time he spent on it. He loved that thing more than anything. Then he left me for another woman and totaled it on our anniversary. Karma   There's no talking sense into a man about his car, just try telling him you'd like more time together.

Ew, it's not even a pretty car

Honestly, that wouldn't fly with me. My biggest turn off is a guy that's obsessed with his car. It's really odd to me, idk.

My SO is like that with his Honda. All of his brothers and friends have SI's and are always doing something to them. I don't mind once and awhile, but I get no breaks at all. If he wants to be fair about things, it'd be nice if he let me enjoy something I like alone as well.

Or you could go the petty route and hide them, or his keys. AFTER locking the car of course.
