What's the average/normal amount of weight gain??

from birth to one month for a "term" baby?
My cousin's LO was 8lbs 8oz when she was born and at her one month check up weighed almost 12lbs...is that normal???

DS weighed 7lbs 3oz when he was born and I definitely don't think he's gained that much weight. He'll be a month old on wednesday.

My son gained 2 lbs in a month. He was 6.5 at birth. I guess it depends on the baby, if they are nursing, in the NICU, FF'd, genetics, etc.

Holy cow o.o My son has only gained 17 pounds since he was born and he's almost 19 months.

Every baby is different, though. At his one month appointment I think he had gained 2 pounds and grown an inch.

yeah...she also grew from 19 to 23 inches

My son gained 4 lbs the first month. He is 2 months today and has already doubled his birth weight, but he was small 6lb6oz.

My DS was born 8lbs 12oz and at his 2 month check up he weighed 14lbs 10z. I don't know how much he weighed at one month but he got big very fast. Is she breastfeeding? EBF babies gain weight really fast. I'd say it's normal.
