someone help!

posted 20th Nov
my son has been sleeping through the night since he was just about 2 months old. He was on a perfect schedule! bath around 6-8 every other day-2 days, nap after bath, bedtime bottle around 11 and sleep until 7-8.

For the past week, he has been waking up every 3 hours, just about, during the night. It feels like I have a newborn again! I thought it might be due to teething, so we would give him some tylenol before his night bottle, and that didn't work. He doesn't wake up crying in pain were he can't be soothed. Sometimes he wakes himself up in his sleep and we pop his binkie in and he falls right back asleep, only to wake up in an hour or so. He's been waking up now to feed. Think he's going through a growth spurt?

He's been given cereal in his bottle since he was about 3 months old when we discovered he had acid reflux. He hasn't been having cereal in his bottle for about a month now and was doing great and still sleeping through the night!

ugh! I just can't get on my LO's schedule anymore! I'm so tired too! It's like we're walking on pins and needles to not wake him up!

anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on? He's starting more and more solids every day now and he usually only naps about an hour - 3 hours every day and that's it (and that's how he's always been)

I'm just so confused as to what's going on with him lately! I'm thinking a growth spurt? Or since he's getting bigger he's wanting to eat more at night? But he's eating anywhere from 6-8 ounces before bed to begin with and still wakes up 3-4 hours after that for another 3-4 ounces.

ugh! help!

What my ds pedi told me, as soon as you feel like you have your kid figured out, something changes! Could be teething, growing, or the acid reflux. Just go with it and know that it wont last forever!

haha that sounds about right! I hope it doesn't last long! I'm scared that I'll get use to him getting up, and then BAM! he'll go back to sleeping through the night! I feel his gums all the time and I feel nothing at all! no bumps no anything! when he does start to have teeth buds coming in will I feel it?

omg i KNOW that has to suck! things will go back to normal soon. It could be the start of teething or like I said, just a growth spurt. have you seen or felt any tooth buds?

nope! that was my last question in my last response on this. "I feel his gums all the time and I feel nothing at all! no bumps no anything! when he does start to have teeth buds coming in will I feel it?"
