i give up...cio

posted 20th Nov
I'm just done at this point. I've been trying everything for almost a month now. I can get her to sleep no problem but she just won't stay asleep once I put her down. At this point I see no other option than CIO.
End exhausted rant

Its not worth it. a met need goes away. cio has lasting effects on a child. this too shall pass. its actually very normal for babies & toddlers to wake at night.

Its not about her waking at night. I mean she will be completely out cold and I will put her in the crib. She will wake up right away or within a couple minutes and freak out like I'm trying to torture her. She despises her crib if its time to sleep.

If she slept for a couple hours and then woke up I wouldn't mind. But she won't even do that

Sounds exhausting   how old is your LO? It is very common for them to want to be near mommy. Co-sleeping has really helped us with sleep issues.

did you know children who are not comforted when they cry are 25% more likely to commit a violent crime in their life?

y son actually was doing the same thing. I ended up putting him in his Pack and Play and he slept like a charm, but he wanted nothing to do with the crib. And you can always move the pack and play into your bed room too, to help.

Best wishes

My midwife actually recommended taking a heating pad and warming up the crib before you but them in it. Apparently some kids notice the temperature change, because of the body heat of being on their mommy. Worth a try! worked for us
