co-sleeping with more than one?

posted 19th Nov
If you did this (with a toddler and newb) what was your sleeping arrangement? I'm still not 100% sure how this is going to work.. and he will be here in a week.

I had my newb in the bassinet next to the bed and my toddler in between DH and I.
Once your youngest gets a little older you get into a kind of groove where you can find whatever works for you guys, kwim?

I don't have a bassinet and am not buying one. DD sleeps in a side scarred crib that I was originally going to put the newb in, but wasn't comfortable with it. DH has become too much of a heavy sleeper to put newb between us.. and I cant put newb next to DD.. so I feel stuck. This kid has nowhere to sleep.

I have coselpt with a NB but not with more than once child. I waited until my daughter was about 6 or 7 months before I let her cosleep with me and her brother.

Now I co sleep with a 4 and 7 year old. I am not sure if I will co sleep with this baby. Im working on getting the other 2 back out of my bed and once they do I don't think Ill ever want to share it lol/

Has anyone put their baby on the outter edge of the bed with a bed rail thing? Do those even fit king size beds?

Not a good idea. There's always a chance of baby getting wedged.
You obviously need to buy a bassinet or a crib because you're making it seem as if you have no other options.

I will kick my DH out of bed before I put my baby in a crib. Thanks though.

Lol. Hes out of town 90% of the month anyway. I was just curious how others arranged the bed with a toddler and newb. You know, making sure my pregnancy brain wasn't preventing any good ideas.

Completely understandable. My youngest is 4 months and we still switch around who sleeps where, with who

I was hoping to have my daughter in her own bed by now, but she isn't ready and I'm not going to force her.

I'm sure we will get it situated quickly. What would be ideal is if DH would quit sleeping like a rock. Bwahaha.
