2cm but no contractions ?

Long story short.

39.5weeks , 2cm dilated but no contractions.

All down there is swollen, havent lost mucus plug nor water broken.

Babies head was felt today by midwife and she also preformed a stretch and sweep.

What now ? Do i try and get labour going ? Keep doing everything normal ? Or should i keep my feet up ?.

Just go about your daily routine. Some people are dilated for weeks (even months) before they go into labor.

I was dilated 2.5cm at 33 weeks, managed to keep my baby held till 37 but he had IUGR so only measured 35.

I was dialated to 4 for a month to the day and had regular contractions every ten mins and still had to be induced and did everything under the sun that was safe to try to get it going better...he was just really comfy lol
