baby's position??

I am 38 weeks today, been having contractions off and on all day and now I am having a constant pain in the lower left side of my stomach and back and it hurts into my left leg...she's been head down for weeks...is this pain normal??

Sounds like she's settled onto a nerve to me. Probably getting lower, if you're having contractions.
