God and organized religion

Do you believe God has anything to with organized religion? I personally believe God neither started or endorses any particular religion. I believe the path to God is within and not through doctrines. What do you believe?

I don't think there is a right or wrong 'religion' to follow. I don't think any of them have the whole truth. I think loving others and treating them fairly is more important than following a doctrine. JMO, though.

Organized religion was created by man. I also believe it will be the demise of mankind.

Pretty much the same thing. I believe organized religion is the work of man and there fore subject to faults, I personally believe if you do your best to be a truly good person that God could care less about what church you went to.

I agree. I believe there IS a God, but who's to say what religion is the "right" religion?

I do not believe there is a god. I believe in science and evolution.
I also believe everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, whatever makes them feel good, but don't expect me to agree with it.

There is a book called the day god went to church, our pastor read it about a month or so ago and I think it sums up how I think God feels about organized religion pretty well.

I remember a near death experiencer asking God which religion is the right one. The voice of God said "I don't care". Basically stating it is up to the individual to figure on his or her own which path to take

There's a book I read recently called "Heaven is for real", a true story about a little boy who was about 4 who had a near death experience. He talks about what he saw and who he saw. It's an excellent read and gets you thinking

That's kind of how I feel. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the church I go to for that very reason. Our pastor does read from the Bible, we do celebrate Christmas, and all other "Jesus" holidays, and we teach about Jesus, and from the Bible. But, he also preaches that no religion is the "right" religion, and all religions are accepted and loved in our church. The lady who plays our piano during services is Muslim, and our pastor often reads Mahayan sutras

I don't think God has any interest in organized religion. I don't think he/she cares whether people practice religion or not, the immense love is there either way.
