She wants to wear all black? Yeah I'd be upset... WTF.. I mean my MIL wore a black skirt and floral top but she wasn't in pics she chose not to be and anyways she was wearing a floral pinkish-grey top and our wedding colors were red and black.

I wouldn't mind,some people just don't feel comfortable in dresses. I personally hate them.

That's my point! I wouldn't mind black skirt, maybe a colorful jacket! But black pants and black top?! Ughhhhhhh.

My MIL took over and planned my WHOLE ENTIRE WEDDING.

I was young and stupid and too scared to put my foot down. By the time my kids popped out though I was more comfortable saying no though, lol.

Other people planned my wedding too and I really regret it but I was so scared of being a "bridezilla" that I never stopped them. I won't even look at my wedding photos.

It truly did not bother me, BUT it started our MIL/DIL relationship off on the way wrong foot. She assumed after that that she could boss me around about everything and I had to spend the next two years constantly shutting her bossiness down to get her to respect me as an adult.

She still hates me, but she doesn't try to step on my toes anymore

Well at first, she texted me asking what my mom was wearing. I told her a gown and then she says "Yeah idk about a gown, I'll wear my slacks"  
I wish she would take part a little bit with planning! But nooooope, oh well. SO is going to have a talk with her about the slacks lol
