pineapple????

i heard it can induce labor from a friend? any truth anyone tried it? haha

You have to eat like 7 whole pineapples for it to work.

I've heard that for it to 'work' you'd have to eat a LOT of it. But nothing will work unless you were already, ready.

Nothing really works. I think it's just coincidence that while you're spending all this time trying to induce labor, you just go into labor on your own.

I don't think so. Atleast not for me. With this pregnancy and my first I'd eat a whole pineapple by myself in one sitting. Not to try to put me in labor, just because I love pineapple!

I ate tons of fresh pineapple because of a craving. I had my son 1-2 days later. But I was induced lol

I tried damn near everything to get my daughter out and all the Pineapple did was burn the hell out of my tongue and eventually make me sick to my stomach.

And that was probably the nicest reaction my body had to at home induction/ cervical ripening methods. Lol and she never did come out on her own :/

That ended up being C-section #2.

i think you have to eat a ton of it...wont hurt to eat a can of it..its good for you. I read online that eggplant parm has worked for alot of people.

This. The amount you would have to eat in order for it to do anything would be really unhealthy.

I sure hope not, I eat pineapple all the time. I could probably eat a whole one by myself. I never knew it was suppose to "induce" labor.

It has to be fresh. The canning process destroys bromelaine.
