Has your cat ever been sick?

posted 19th Nov
Wont eat, or drink. Not going to the bathroom, barely doing anything but sleep..
What was wrong with them?

I think my cat is sick, calling the Vet in the morning.

It could be any number of things. A cold, feline leukemia, a blockage, an infection...is it going to the bathroom? The vet will probably want you to bring a stool sample if it is.

How old was he? She is just a baby, about five yrs old. She has never ever been sick.

Yes and he was constipated. We gave him pumpkin pie mix and it luckily passed.

Yes   turned out that he had a genetic condition that caused his immune system to attack his own red blood cells. He seemed fine for a year and a half and we knew nothing about it but eventually he went into liver failure and there was nothing we could do by that point   That was the first time I'd ever had a sick cat. It was shocking how his condition deteriorated overnight.

My phone won't let me post pics but he's the white one with the spots on his head

I have two cats and only one has been like that, we went on vacation and my in-laws said she hide the whole time, didn't eat/drink etc. We were gone for a week and apparently she was like that the entire time, turned out she "stressed", lol.

Also my cats are often pukey sick (about once-twice a month) but it's only because the little smurf heads like to eat plastic bags and tape   then vomit it up later.

She has not used the litter all day. We had fake moss in a planter in the living room that I caught her eating one day and saw it in her puke last week, possibly the culprit?

yes, my cat has been sick 2 times, once she had thrown up a couple times and wouldnt eat or drink or do anything but sleep, and she was letting me hold her for more than a minute (un-usual for her), she had licked the back of her neck where she had gotten flea medicine that day, i scrubbed the back of her neck till it was gone, she was better the next day.

the second time was when i had DS i wasnt home for days and she got really stressed out, lost a bunch of weight, was drooling and had very watery eyes, one bath later, and me coming home and she was all better.

9 years old. He was fine that morning, but when I came home from work he was hiding in the closet. I could just tell he didn't feel good.

When my cat was like this she just slept on the couch. She wouldn't move. Then she died.   She was old though about 19 years.
Is your cat moving, acting normal apart from not eating Etc..

It could be stuck in her intestines. I used to volunteer at the vet clinic and saw a LOT of blockages. My own dog had one. If that's what they think it is, they'll do an x-ray to see.
