Pain in chest when swallowing

So my husband ( well all of us) have been sick since Friday. On Saturday the pain( like sore throat ) moved from his throat to the top of his chest.

Any ideas what it could be? Worth a dr check up? ( we don't want Thursday to come and he can't eat, cause he can't eat now, he barely drink)

That happened to me when the lining of my lungs were infected from being sick so i guess any lung infection might do that. I would go into be checked
